Thielemans, Toots With Sylvia Vrethammar And Sivuca – Rendezvous In Rio
The Bob Hope Collection (The Lemon Drop Kid / Road to Bali / Road to Rio / My Favorite Brunette / The Seven Little Foys)

For over 70 years, the name Bob Hope has been synonymous with laughter. Now Shout! Factory cordially invites you to sit back and celebrate the legendary comedic career of Bob Hope with five of his most hilarious and popular films, completely remastered from brand-new, stunning high-definition transfers!
The Lemon Drop Kid (1951): Bob Hope stars as Sidney Melbourne (a/k/a The Lemon Drop Kid), a con man who offers a friendly sure thing horse tip to the girlfriend of mobster Moose Moran. But when his sure thing loses and Mooses original pick wins, Sidney is given until Christmas to pay back the money or else. So to raise the money he owes, Sidney enlists some old pals to hit the street corners of New York dressed as Santa Claus accepting donations for a bogus elderly ladies home. What follows is vintage Hope shenanigans, highlighted by a heart-warming rendition of the Christmas classic Silver Bells sung by Hope and Marilyn Maxwell.
My Favorite Brunette (1947): In this hilarious spoof of Film Noir and detective tales, Bob Hope plays Ronnie Jackson, a photographer mistaken for a detective. Co-starring Alan Ladd, Dorothy Lamour, Peter Lorre & Lon Chaney Jr.
Road To Rio (1947): The fifth Road to.. picture starring Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. When two musicians stow away on a ship bound for Rio, they get more than they bargained for. Intrigue, duels and high comedy are just a few of the adventures waiting for them. Co-starring Dorothy Lamour.
Road To Bali (1952): Bob Hope and Bing Crosby star in their sixth Road to.. picture. When the two song-and-dance men have to leave Australia in a hurry, they sign-on to work as divers. They find themselves on a beautiful island on the way to Bali where they compete for the affection of Princess Lala.
The Seven Little Foys (1955): Bob Hope stars as Vaudeville entertainer Eddie Foy. Despite his vow to always be a solo act, Foy marries Italian ballerina Madeleine and soon has seven little ones to contend with. Co-starring James Cagney.

Iron Maiden – Rock In Rio
Rio Rita 1942 [Remaster]

It’s fiesta time in Vista Del Rio, and that means much musical celebration. It’s also a time of global war. So, in the updated plot of this exuberant World War II-era remake of the 1929 Wheeler and Woolsey romp, that means little Vista Del Rio is a jalapen?o hotbed of Axis spies. The agents intend to use a fiesta radio show to send a coded message, a scheme that may be scrambled silly when stumblebums Doc and Wishy stumble onto it. Bud Abbott and Lou Costello play the inept duo in this musical comedy that – from riffing on the word “pekinese” to Lou’s hunger-fueled food mirage (tastes like chicken!) to his loopy spin within an oversized washing machine – has the famed funnymen fracturing any situation into goofy glee. Enjoy!

Diana Krall: Live in Rio [Blu-ray]

Diana Krall has had a long time fascination with bossa nova, a type of music, which perfectly suits her sophisticated yet sensual style. This culminated in her new studio album “Quiet Nights” (released by Verve in spring 2009) and in this stunning concert filmed in the home of the bossa nova, Rio de Janeiro, in November 2008. Accompanied by her band and an orchestra, Diana Krall delivers a superb set of standards in true bossa nova style but clearly bearing her unique stamp. This Blu-ray captures Diana Krall at her scintillating best.

Rio Sex Comedy

The sun-drenched splendor of Rio de Janeiro provides the backdrop to this sexy comedy of romantic entanglement. Among the tourists who find themselves footloose and under the sway of the city’s erotic spell are Charlotte Rampling (Swimming Pool) as a prominent British plastic surgeon warning that new looks don’t solve old problems; Bill Pullman (Surveillance, Lost Highway) as a U.S. ambassador who seeks a break from his duties in one of city’s most dangerous shanty towns; and Irene Jacob (Red, The Double Life of Veronique) as a French anthropologist whose proper nature is no match for the pleasures of Rio. Director Jonathan Nossiter (Mondovino) weaves the tales of these wanderers together into a holiday of sensual delight.
